They inconvenience us, we will inconvenience them!
Any in other news, 40000 angry French motorcyclists take on the government: http://ukfrancebikers.com/2010/03/14/french-motorcyclists-more-angry-than-ever/. It warmed my heart to see so many motorcyclists out on the streets at once.
That actually was one good thing!
I had completely forgotten about it and then , last Sunday we woke up from an incredible noise and saw over 300 bikers riding up the pass on the other side of the valley to France. What a sight! ;)
But even then I didn’t realize what it was all about… Now I remember… Thanks, Rashmi :)
Actually I already payed quite some money for filtering in Germany. They stopped me a dozen times I think.
On the other hand, especially in France, riders often filter really ruthless (see comment below…). So I think filtering should of course be allowed, but it has to be done in a responsible way. Car drivers do not understand us or our bikes.
Kudos to the participating and organizing French riders!
Shame on me for not being there.
So is lane splitting not common in most countries out in Europe?
I wish you had gone on it. Then I could have said I knew someone who was there. ;)
It is not allowed in Germany, but people usually do it (if there is a real jam!) and it is accepted by the police. I have to admit that I do not know the situation in other countries. I just filter whenever I need to. Period.
